Recreational Scallop Diving

Miles has been working on trying to get approved, scallop licences for recreational divers around PEI. This would be the same licence divers from NS and NB can purchase for a fee of 10-15 dollars and be aloud to take 50 scallops a day per diver. He has been in contact with Pat Binns and he thinks it is a good idea seeing other provinces already have it approved. What he wants from us is a list of names from divers around the island that are for this type of licence. So, we are asking if you are interested on adding your name to the list please leave a post and say you are infavor or not, and if so we will add it to the list. Miles would like to get this list in as soon as possible.

Thanks

I am totally in favor of a recreational scallop fishery, as well as anything else we can do to promote diving on the Island. Blaine Gauthier, North Rustico at bythebay79@hotmail.com .
